I get excited when a movie is filmed in my home town. When I watch the trailers I try to spot the real locations. I can even tell when the continuity is off for example Suicide Squad the batman and joker car chase scene. The direction they are going is south, they pass Yonge and Dundas but then the next cut jumps to Yonge and Gerrard which is north of Dundas. So they jump a street back in the same direction, which clearly fails continuity for anyone familiar with Toronto streets. Shazam is another DC movie show casing DC’s rosters of superheroes. The film is directed by David F. Sandberg and stars Zachary Levi, Mark Strong and Lovina Yavari.
For those who are not familiar with Shazam’s super powers such as myself. He is strong, fast, can fly and do other fun things. Fun fact, SHAZAM is the acronym for (Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury). Look it up if you don’t believe me. These are the names of the immortal elders. Billy Batson is a boy who accidentally stumbles upon a different realm where he meets an ancient wizard who grants him superpowers.
Filming took place in my beloved home city Toronto, Hamilton and Philadelphia. Just click on the links below to see their location on Google Maps.
